The following painting as seen on the cover of the 2DArtist Magazine November issue, is actually a very emotional painting from my private collection. There is a very different version of this which I painted for Ale as birthday present (original called "Desert") as a homage to the great fashion photographer Louis’s ‘Green Apple’ series and printed it on 70 X 50 cm photopaper.
Later on, I decided to change that painting to create a little lips tutorial for the 2DArtist magazine from it. The actual desert painting didn't feature such red bump out lips ... well in fact, her lips are dry and of no color, like she is dying of the lack of water, but also something else - plus some other things which are very different and will probably never be seen in my public galleries because of private reasons.
This painting also personally means an end to the portrait series which started with "Burning Heart" to me.
